Building Statistics shows the number and value of permits and completion certificates issued during a period. The information is compiled using data supplied by the City and Town Councils.
A total of 256 Building Permits for construction work valued at $86.9 million were issued in the March quarter of 2025.
When compared to the December quarter of 2024, the number of Building Permits issued and the corresponding Value of Works decreased by 4.1 percent and 45.7 percent respectively.
When compared to the March quarter of 2024, the number of Building Permits issued had increased by 11.3 percent and the corresponding Value of Works decreased by 21.5 percent.
