Building Statistics shows the number and value of permits and completion certificates issued during a period. The information is compiled using data supplied by the City and Town Councils.
A total of 286 Building Permits for construction work valued at $150.4 million were issued in the September quarter of 2024.
When compared to the June quarter of 2024, the number of Building Permits issued had increased by 21.2 percent and the
corresponding Value of Works had decreased by 10.5 percent.
When compared to the September quarter of 2023, the number of Building Permits issued had declined by 46.1 percent and the corresponding Value of Work had increased by 94.0 percent.
