The first edition of the experimental sustainable tourism Indicators release measures the extent to which eco-friendly and sustainable practices are being adopted across Fiji’s tourism industries, aiming to help reduce environmental impacts.
The 2024 release covers Fiji’s three main tourism industries: Accommodation, Tour Operators and Water/Air Transport. The indicators are derived using data collected from the sampled survey across all three industries.
The survey frame for the Accommodation, Tour Operators and Water/Air Transport Sector covers companies accounting for 80.0% of the overall gross output within each sector.
