  • iTaukei - 475,739

  • total imports $5,696.1 million
  • total exports $2,176.9 million

Compared to 2017, total imports and total exports increased by $732.3 million (14.8%) and $141.3 million (6.9%) respectively.

Provisional numbers show that visitor arrivals for January 2019 totaled 63,807, an increase of 1.9% compared to a year earlier.

The visitor arrival  by country and number were as follows;

1) Australia –  with 27,860 visitors
2) New Zealand –with 11,573 visitors
3) United States of America – with 5,709 visitors
4) China –  with 3,964 visitors
5) United Kingdom –  with 1,265 visitors

Consumer Price Index - February 2019fbosicon2

The All Items CPI for the month of February registered an increase of 0.7 percent over January 2019 [124.1] and stands at 125.0.

Details of price changes between January 2019 and February 2019 by expenditure class are as follows:

  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, TOBACCO AND NARCOTICS: -1.0%
