  • Total Fiji - 837,271
  • iTaukei - 475,739
  • Indo Fijians - 313,798
  • Others - 47,734

International Merchandise Trade Statistics - October 2019fbosicon2

Provisional data for October 2019 was :

  • total imports $454.1million
  • total exports $182.7 million

Compared to October 2018, total imports and total exports decreased by $98.3 million (17.8%) and $18.3 million (9.1%) respectively.

Provisional Visitor Arrivals - 2019fbosicon2

Fiji’s annual Visitor Arrival number reached a new high of 894,389 in 2019. This was 2.8% more visitors than the previous record of 870,309 which arrived in 2018.

The visitor arrival  by country and number were as follows;

1) Australia –  with 367,020 visitors
2) New Zealand –with 205,998 visitors
3) United States of America – with 96,968 visitors
4) China –  with 47,027 visitors
5) United Kingdom –  with 16,856 visitors

Consumer Price Index - December 2019fbosicon2

The All Items CPI for the month of December registered a decrease of 0.4 percent over November 2019 [114.1] and stands at 113.6.

Details of price changes between November 2019 and December 2019 by expenditure class are as follows:

  • FOOD AND NON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:-1.4%
  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, TOBACCO AND NARCOTICS: -0.2%
  • HOUSING, WATER, ELECTRICITY, GAS AND OTHER FUELS:+0.6%
  • TRANSPORT: -0.5%
